Welcome to Mr. Ji’s Kitchen
Mr. Ji was interested in cooking techniques when he was a child. In order to pursue his chef dream, he began formal cooking work at age of 18 in Beijing. Through continuous learning and work, he finally won the honorary title of China premium Cooking chef and China premium Pastry chef.
Now, Chef Ji came to New Zealand, bringing his 30+ years cooking experience and culinary philosophy. His restaurant – Mr. Ji’s Kitchen is located at the heart of beautiful Petone.
Peking Duck, Spicy Garlic Pork, Gongbao Chicken and other classic dishes are Ji’s signature dishes. In order to bring the ultimate delicious food from China to New Zealand, he spends a great deal of time sourcing the best local ingredients, using Chinese traditional cooking techniques, keep original taste, combining the innovative technology to produce creative cuisine.
